Event Philosophy & Features

The Birth of Palette Ring

The Birth of Palette Ring

The word "Palette" is essential in both traditional and digital painting. We aspire to be like a palette, supporting indie creators (doujin circles) in their creative endeavors and connecting the diverse colors you all bring forth, thereby enriching Hong Kong's doujin creative scene. It is with this vision that the new doujin creative exhibition platform, Palette Ring, was born.

Rich Hosting Experience

Rich Hosting Experience

The organizing team has participated in doujin conventions in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, and Japan for over a decade, and is very familiar with all aspects of the doujin community. Drawing from years of experience, we better understand the needs of doujin artists and attendees.

A doujin event is a space to showcase doujin creations. Palette Ring focuses on doujin work sales and display, creative sharing, and regularly hosts sharing seminars and exchange activities to provide creators and enthusiasts with more opportunities for interaction and learning.

About Palette Ring

Palette Ring Doujin Convention has been held in Hong Kong since 2017, and as of 2025 has successfully held 9 editions. Today, the event has become one of Hong Kong's major annual doujin conventions.
The event joined the International Otaku Exhibition Association (IOEA) in December 2019. IOEA is a non-profit international organization centered on anime, manga, and game enthusiasts (otaku) based in Japan.
In 2025, Palette Ring will hold a doujin convention overseas for the first time, providing an opportunity for creators from different regions to gather together and promote exchange with local participants. Through this, we aim to further strengthen the exchange and cooperation between Hong Kong and overseas doujin culture.
